Moonarch Bed and Breakfast, Callan Co Kilkenny is an Award Winning Bed & Breakfast which has been in operation since 1993. For the past 23 years it has been rewarded with many National Awards for the consistent high standards. it maintains, for it's spark of warmth and true unparalleled Irish hospitality. At Moonarch, our aim is to provide you with an exceptional accommodation quality with a personal touch, in a friendly family atmosphere.


Moonarch Bed & Breakfast is set in a scenic rural setting, surrounded by 2 acres of mature gardens, each room looks out onto the garden.

Moonarch is an ideal location for walking, cycling or just strolling through the unspoiled countryside. At Moonarch, you will experience the peaceful atmosphere which is enchanted by the fine reputation for hospitality and good cuisine. All rooms are ensuite with a garden view, providing tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, Iron & Ironing board, luggage rack and complimentary bottled Spring water.

An extensive breakfast menu is available and all diets are catered for.

Moonarch is situated just off the N76 on the R 692.....2 kms South West of the small heritage town of Callan, Ancestral home to the Candler family, founders of "Coca Cola" company, James Hoban...Architect of the White House Washington DC. Tony O'Malley world renowned Artist. Callan is also home to the only remaining family run Crystal factory in Ireland "Kilkenny Crystal".

Nearby attractions are: Kells Priory seven square towers, the Ancient Celtic Crosses at Ahenny & Kilkieran, Dolmen at Harristown, Jerpoint Abbey & Woodstock Victorian gardens. The area is equally noted for its wonderful sporting & recreational attractions with some of the finest golf courses, equestrian facilities, attractive great houses & gardens, pre historic monuments & high crosses.

Kilkenny City, which is situated a short distance away is also famous for pottery and has much more to discover.

Our warm welcome will make you feel relaxed and comfortable and after a long & tiring day touring the highways & byways of the countryside you are guaranteed a good nights's sleep in this peaceful location......
